Understanding the covenant relationship between Us, Yeshua and the Father - Godhead Explained

Introduction

There’s a lot of confusion in the movement concerning the relationship between Yeshua, and YHWH.
Many have come to the knowledge of the truth and immediately reject trinitarian doctrine which is good only to start believing some variation that Yeshua is YHWH in the flesh.

This is wrong for many reasons, but for one if YHWH the most high God is in fact Yeshua in the flesh then that means that YHWH the most high God who is ETERNAL was killed with by humans with simple tools, floggings, and being hung on a tree/cross till death.

[keep in mind the definition of eternal (self existing) means he is outside the dimensions of mass, time, and space, but this too is ignored by proponents that YHWH is Yeshua in the flesh.]

Does this sound blasphemous to you? It’s because it is blasphemous, and unfortunately many people espouse this view because they do not have a full understanding of the mechanisms of biblical covenant.

Yeshua the begotten son of God

Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Hebrews 1:5-8 is in direct reference to Yeshua and states that Yeshua is “begotten” of the Father.
The definition of begotten is - (typically of a man, sometimes of a man and a woman) bring (a child) into existence by the process of reproduction.

This verse identifies that Yeshua was brought forth by YHWH, again YHWH is eternal outside of space & time. He can’t be brought forth because he is eternal and therefore self-existing.

John 6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Notice John 6:69 did not state that they believed Yeshua was YHWH in the flesh, but that Yeshua is the son of the living God.

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

As we can see in John 6:69, and John 20:31 - we are told to believe that Yeshua is the son of God. Notice we are not told to believe that Yeshua is YHWH in the flesh. This is an invented concept not found in scripture.

We see again Yeshua proclaiming he is the son of God in John 9:35-37:

John 9:35 - Yeshua heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?
36 - He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, That I might believe on him? "
37 - And Yeshua said unto him, You have both seen him and it is he that talks with you.

We are to believe that Yeshua is the son of God

John 20:31 - But these are written, that you might believe that Yeshua is the Mashiach, the Son Of God and that believing you might have life through his name.

God the Father and Yeshua are in covenant relationship

Let’s take a look at John 14:10-11 keep in mind the key words “in me” or “in the Father” these are covenant terms.

John 14:10-11
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

John 14:10-11 identifies that Yeshua/Jesus is in covenant with the Father, and in turn the Father’s holy spirit or Ruach Ha Kodesh is dwelling within Yeshua. This is identifying the concept of “echad” through covenant relationship.

John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 5:18 identifies that Yeshua stated that YHWH is his Father.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 10:30 - again identifies the “oneness” or “echad” of being in covenant relationship

Abba made Yeshua Heir over his kingdom

Our heavenly Father deeply loves his son and made him his heir over YHWH’s kingdom:

John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Again the understanding here is simple, if Yeshua was YHWH then he wouldn’t have to appoint himself as an “heir” over all his own kingdom:

Hebrews 1:1-2 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

We are one in the Father and Yeshua, through covenant relationship

Let’s take a look at John 17:21:

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 17:21 is identifying that when we are in covenant with Yeshua/Jesus we are also “echad” with the Father.

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

This should sound familiar because this follows the same covenant terms of “in him”.
Again we see that we are to confess that Yeshua is the son of God, not that Yeshua is YHWH in the flesh or anything else, but that Yeshua is the son of God, and if we confess this then God dwells in us and us in him.

1 John 5:1 5 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Again we see that we are to believe that Yeshua is messiah and is BORN of God.

The son is an heir of his Father and we are joint heirs through Yeshua his begotten son:

Matthew 21:33-41 is a clear parable referring to Yeshua as the son sent by his Father and we read:

Matthew 21:38 - 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

By believing Yeshua is messiah we have covenant relationship with both him and the Father (Joint Heirship):

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:26 - identifies that we are all Children of God through our faith in Messiah. In essence through faith we are in covenant with Yeshua/Jesus we are heirs.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 14:20 again identifies the “oneness” or “echad” that covenant relationship brings us together.

To honor the son is to honor the Father:

John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Yeshua was slain from the foundation of the world:

Revelations 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

It is YHWH that chose us, and by choosing us knew he would have to give his son up to be murdered

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

It is Yeshua that has reconciled the whole world to Abba

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
We were chosen in Yeshua before the foundation of the world:

John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

When Yahweh the most high God set up the world, he knew that he was going to create human beings with free will, and he set his son Yeshua as King over this world a righteous king/firstborn/Melchizedek priest who is willing to lay down his life for his people. The father’s plan is predetermined.

Those faithful to the new covenant will inherit Yeshua’s Kingdom

Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

A faithful son (those faithful to the covenant inherits all things):

Revelations 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Hebrew concept of Agency

shaliaḥ (Hebrew: שָלִיחַ, [ʃaˈliaχ]; pl. שְלִיחִים‎, sheliḥim [ʃliˈχim] or sheliah, literally “emissary” or “messenger”) is a legal agent. In practice, “the shaliaḥ for a person is as this person himself.”

Messengers are also called Angels. Angels are also called Sons of God (Job1:6) (Genesis 6:1-4). Yahusha is the Son of God (Luke 1:35) (Mark 5:7) (John 10:36) and is the beloved Son (Matthew 12:18) (Mark 1:11) (Matthew 17:5)

I believe it’s established that no one has seen the Father.

However here is a nonexhaustive list of times where the Bible says Yahuah appeared (Genesis 12:7) (Genesis 17:1) (Genesis 18:1) (Genesis 26:2) (Genesis 26:24) (Exodus 4:5) (Exodus 6:3)

I believe these are the Father’s Agents. In a Hebrew sense it’s like Yahuah himself was there. So the Bible says it’s Yahuah.

John 1:48-49 Yahusha

I also researched name (Shem) in Hebrew meant. It is a person character, reputation, authority, or to put it simply their “image” (Colossians 1:15)

Yahusha was given all Authority of Heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18) and all things have been handed over to Yahusha (Matthew 11:27). Yahusha comes in the name of Yahuah (Psalms 118:26), (Matthew 21:9), (John 5:43), and the fullness of God (Colossians 1:19). This is describing what a Agent is.

We are told that he that blasphemes the name of Yahuah should be stoned (Leviticus 24:16). The Hebrews at the time knew Yahusha was saying he was Yahuah (John 8:57-59), (John 10:30-31) and tried to stone him according to the Torah.

Yahusha has the Spirit of Yahuah upon him (Luke 4:18) and the Father in him (John 14:11). Yahusha will subdue all under him (1 Corinthians 15:26-34) and the Angels will worship him (Hebrews 1:6). We shall not worship any other God than Yahuah (Exodus 34:14). Yahusha being the Agent of Yahuah can be worshipped (Matthew 2:2) (Hebrews 1:6) (John 9:37-38) as if it were Yahuah himself. All knees will bow to Yahusha (Philippians 2:10) and confess that Yahusha is Yahuah (as his shaliaḥ) to the glory Father (Philippians 2:11) (1 Corinthians 12:3). Yahusha is the door (John 10:7) that we can enter to come to the Father (John 14:6). Let’s not look past the door or come to the Father without our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5) who has been chosen by the Father (Matthew 12:18).

So I believe Yahusha is Yahuah. I do not believe the Son is literally the Father. We have seen the Father through the Agency or shaliaḥ of Yahusha (John 14:8-21). “The shaliaḥ for a person is as this person himself.”
